South Bay at Mt. Pleasant participates in Parkinson’s fundraiser walk
South Bay at Mount Pleasant joined 39 other teams on a beautiful sunny day at James Island County Park to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson’s disease. Many local businesses and healthcare professionals joined together to build a community network to care for individuals who are affected by Parkinson’s and provided resources to their families.
Parkinson’s Moving day surpassed their fundraising goal and ended up raising $139,000 for grants which fund local programs dedicated, not only to the treatment of Parkinson’s, but also to research and to support families caring for their loved ones who are affected by Alzheimer’s. South bay at Mount Pleasant is proud to support this cause and connect with the community. Our next fundraising event will be the Alzheimer’s Walk in September.
